It feels like everyone is portrayed as queer or empowered women who don’t require male support, while straight men are depicted negatively, either as weak or foolish. The reality is that this kind of story has been done repeatedly since 2016; the only thing distinguishing it is the name, because the diversity requirements are identical to those in previous projects. The intended message takes precedence above everything else, and the suspenseful mood feels predictable and uninspired, relying on tired drama conventions from around 2010 rather than embracing familiar story elements. Essentially, there’s nothing fresh or original presented here. This narrative has been explored countless times, and it's become tiresome. I simply don’t find it engaging.
