It’s predictable. Studios are inserting diverse characters simply for the sake of diversity. Cop programs already struggle with accuracy _(though they do attempt a sense of realism through things like costumes, legal-sounding language, and decent action)_; now, they've taken an unconventional character—a female FBI agent from what was once a respectable series _(because representation in everything is apparently essential, though it’s not inherently bad)_. They’ve made her even less believable, diminishing her professionalism across the board, stripping away any original thought processes, and simultaneously exaggerating her attractiveness. To top it off, all of the other characters have been diminished as well. It's getting to the point where avoiding new Hollywood series altogether might be the best course of action.
