Synopsis

Dust clung to the sharecropper’s worn clothes as he led his colt toward the track, a flicker of desperate hope in his eyes. The prize money offered a chance at redemption – enough to purchase the land he toiled upon from the owner, who had placed a substantial wager on Mark McCain's contender.
