Synopsis

The boy, barely more than a lad in the stables, had done the deed – ended the life of a man known throughout the territory. Yet, instead of gratitude, he found himself met with suspicion and outright animosity when the question of the reward arose. The townsfolk, those who would have readily cheered a hero's return, now regarded him with cold hostility. He could not fathom their reaction.
