Synopsis

A renowned cardiothoracic surgeon, and Dr. Yamada's mentor, arrives at Chastain seeking treatment for his own heart pain. Simultaneously, Kit delivers the difficult news that the emergency room will no longer accept trauma cases, a consequence of recent budget reductions. Elsewhere, Devon and Conrad work together to care for a woman disoriented by an unknown condition.
