The initial pair of seasons, penned by JohnK, are truly exceptional. Subsequent seasons contain some enjoyable installments, but they lack consistency and don't measure up to what JohnK produced. Since he was responsible for developing the characters, it’s not surprising that his writing is the strongest. Aside from Ren and Stimpy, my favorite character is Muddy Mudskipper ("get outa here ya lousy bum"). I can watch the first two seasons of Ren and Stimpy repeatedly without tiring. "The best show in the whole world." And yes, I do own a decoder ring!
