Synopsis

In 1985, Linda Brown, a young mother of twenty-three, was found shot dead in her bedroom. Her fourteen-year-old stepdaughter, Cinnamon, confessed to the crime, seemingly bringing the case to a swift conclusion. Yet, detectives felt uneasy; they suspected that beneath the surface of this troubled family lay secrets far more complex than they initially appeared—and their instincts proved correct.
