Synopsis

The battle raged on Peleliu, a relentless struggle against an enemy resolved to fight to the bitter end. Amidst the devastation, a revered leader fell, and the Marines witnessed barbarity on both sides, pushing one warrior, known as Sledgehammer, to the brink of moral collapse. Though their objective was finally achieved, the men returned to Pavuvu irrevocably altered by the ordeal.
