Synopsis

The day Charles Halsey was inaugurated as President of the United States, scientists detected a large object hurtling toward Earth at half the speed of light. Halsey, a man of peace and liberal ideals, was swiftly moved to an underground bunker by the Presidential transition team – a collection of aides and military personnel who mirrored the hawkish tendencies of the preceding administration.
