My initial assessment gave this series an 8 out of 10 after experiencing the first two seasons. Now that I’ve begun watching season 3—which took a while to arrive and was eagerly anticipated—I’ve watched episode 5, 'A Tale of Two Topas,' and have increased my rating to 9 out of 10. The wait for season 3 proved worthwhile. What I appreciate most is how the narratives build upon events from seasons 1 and 2. I sincerely hope there will be a fourth season! Initially, the humor felt artificial; some moments were awkward and uncomfortable. However, as the first season unfolded, it became more serious, which significantly improved the show in my view. I haven't found any episode to be truly poor—while quality varies from one installment to another, none are unwatchable. The series offers drama, action, and comedy that isn’t awkward anymore; the storylines are captivating and address important subjects and moral dilemmas. I believe the show has a superb cast, and the performances feel genuine. It resembles classic Star Trek much more than Star Trek Discovery does.
