The first couple of seasons of The Orville were really good, but then season three just sort of fell apart. Season three feels like what I thought the newer Star Trek series would be: overly concerned with social commentary, clumsily written, and filled with a negativity that's both frustrating and dull. I’m having trouble figuring out how to score this show now, which used to be well-written, amusing, and generally enjoyable. If season three represents the future of the series, I really hope it’s not around for much longer. I'm giving it a 5/10 when considering seasons one and two. Season three was so disappointing that I don't even want to give it a separate rating, but it definitely brings down my overall impression considerably.
