The events in episode 4’s bizarre sequence, and what followed in episode 5, really damaged it. It felt totally unbelievable and illogical; after that, I no longer respected the central character and couldn't continue watching. I haven’t been able to determine who directed the series, but I suspect it was a woman, and likely she altered the narrative due to an apparent feminist perspective, elevating a minor female figure above the lead simply because of her gender. Before that point, I was totally invested and having a good time with the show.
