It felt tedious; right away, the narrative seemed improbable and occasionally absurd. The depiction of prison, legal proceedings, law enforcement, and attorneys felt wholly inauthentic. A character repeatedly made foolish choices, one after another, throughout the entire series, while those in positions of authority went to extreme lengths to protect his life and ensure fairness. I never felt invested in his fate. It's hard to understand the purpose of a film—or an extended program—centered on someone like that. The consistent sense of doubt was perhaps the only positive aspect, maintaining tension until the very end, although it occasionally resulted in increasingly strange situations and some storylines were not resolved.
