Synopsis

Else found herself tasked with the care of a young girl plagued by abdominal pain, and watched with a keen envy as gifts poured in from an American soldier. When a chance arose, Else readily availed herself of the bounty. Dr. Friis’ parents visited, but their presence left both the doctor and Lis feeling wounded. The Matron harbored a love for Klaus, yet their positions as patient and caregiver kept them apart. Finally, Ole began to orchestrate a surprise for Anna's birthday.
