I usually suggest this sitcom to anyone I know, particularly because Cedric is so entertaining as the main character. The show’s premise creates a lot of opportunities for funny moments between characters. I've consistently liked comedy, and I’ve watched many shows featuring Cedric; they’ve all been enjoyable experiences. When it initially came out, I was having fun with it, not really paying attention to the writing itself – I saw the first few episodes and wanted more. Other things happened, and I didn't have a chance to continue watching past that point. Now that season five has begun, my schedule is open enough for me to catch up, so I decided to watch the initial season again to jog my memory before starting seasons two, three, and beyond. I remain a fan of Cedric and the rest of the cast, but the writing felt overly concerned with current social trends, which stopped me from going past the first season. Knowing that this is how Hollywood tries to shape audiences, I wasn’t entirely shocked, but I'm glad I didn’t let it affect me too much. It’s a shame, because the show has all the elements needed for success, but that’s just how we can be swayed. ***Be advised*** This isn’t suitable for people who value faith and lasting contentment. ***One star for the performers***
