Synopsis

Maggie’s sixteenth birthday loomed, and Fran stepped in to alter her father’s arrangements for the celebration. Rather than a stuffy affair at the Guggenheim Museum, Fran persuaded Mr. Sheffield to host the party at her aunt Frieda’s bar. Though decidedly less elegant than the museum, this required Fran to navigate a delicate family conflict: her mother and Frieda had remained estranged since 1979. A reconciliation was achieved, but upon Frieda's return from the restroom, a wardrobe malfunction
