Synopsis

A shadow fell upon the Louvre with the news of death, and Treville responded with measures that stirred considerable debate. He sought to shield the Dauphin from a dangerous confluence of Grimaud, Gaston, and the Duke of Lorraine. His methods, however, were shrouded in secrecy, creating a rift between him and the Queen, and risking the fracturing of the loyalty that bound even his most trusted Musketeers.
