Synopsis

Two swindlers were planning an elaborate insurance fraud, needing only one crucial element: someone to convincingly portray the injured party – ideally, a large, easily fooled man with a suitably battered appearance. Their search ended when they encountered Herman; he seemed almost custom-made for the role. Assuming the personas of film producers, they coaxed him into signing an accident policy, cleverly disguising it as a contract for a remake of *Double Indemnity*. As the pair concocted increa
