Synopsis

When the Heck family fell behind on their electric bill, the power company disconnected their service. This prompted Frankie and Mike to reevaluate their spending habits, reluctantly canceling their cable television. The children sought out alternative ways to entertain themselves, though Frankie and Mike found it difficult to adjust. Simultaneously, Brick and his companions, often preferring solitary pursuits, were forced outdoors for recess when the school library was closed.
