Synopsis

Mike’s surprise at discovering Brick’s remarkable spelling ability – he’d even won the school spelling bee – spurred him into a focused effort: training Brick for the regional competition, with the ultimate hope of reaching the Scripps Spelling Bee. Yet, as the family prepared for their road trip to Chicago and the looming regional contest, Frankie and Mike were struck by a sudden wave of dismay; they’d completely forgotten Sue's birthday.
