The most important thing to understand about this is that it’s a “Docudrama,” and as such, it feels rushed. It moves too quickly, especially considering how much information it tries to cover, giving the impression of being packed in tightly. It would have been better—though likely more costly—if the filmmakers had taken more time, allowing for greater attention to detail. Instead, details arrive suddenly and forcefully. There's not enough opportunity to pause and reflect on what’s presented. A positive aspect of docudramas is often that they include extra material and seemingly unimportant facts which allow viewers to consider the significant points for a short while. Still, the information itself *is* present. Ray Liotta works well as narrator, and the interviewees are familiar faces from mob documentaries—Rabb appears, predictably, along with some relatives of those involved and actors known for gangster roles, all contributing effectively. The problem isn’t an excess or lack of details; it's the pacing and how the information is arranged. When something significant is revealed, good documentaries provide space for viewers to process it, either through distracting reenactments or minor facts that aren’t essential. Instead, this one frequently delivers one revelation after another, relying on repetition instead of allowing things to sink in. While this approach can be effective in fictional films designed to keep audiences engaged, it doesn't suit documentaries, which often appeal to viewers seeking a different kind of engagement. The impressive element shouldn’t come from the action; it should arise from giving the viewer time to absorb that “can you believe they actually did that?” moment.
