Synopsis

The year 1865 brought a painful encounter for Emery and Anna in Hokitika. There, Emery learned details of Carver's history, while Quee made a significant discovery. The following year, 1866, saw Anna’s prospects dwindling, and driven by desperation, she resolved to act independently.
