Synopsis

She harbored the conviction that her late father had been a distinguished sea captain, and found herself drawn to a roguish, elderly purser. A newly married couple’s honeymoon was plagued by a series of misfortunes: a dislocated back here, a painful sunburn there, and even a bout of poison ivy. Unbeknownst to Captain Stubing, the ship's crew, in a generous gesture, upgraded a couple of modest means to a luxurious suite, compelling them to adopt the personas of affluent socialites.
