I really enjoyed "Bosch," thought "Bosch: Legacy" was good, but "Ballard" didn’t do it for me. It's clear that Michael Connelly is a skilled writer of crime fiction. Going into "Lincoln Lawyer," I expected something enjoyable and decided to give the show a try. The individual plots hold promise, but the series itself falls short. I have sympathy for the performer, but I need to be honest: Mickey Haller possesses two key qualities: humor and charisma. After watching three episodes of the initial season, that charisma is completely absent. Beyond that, a show like this needs its central figure to feel authentic and truly represent the character so everything makes sense. This adaptation doesn’t achieve that.
