Stephen Colbert used to be genuinely amusing. These days, he comes across as conceited and his jokes fall flat. However, it’s clear he’s a shrewd businessperson. His juvenile but deliberately inflammatory criticisms of DT helped him surpass Fallon in viewership numbers. Similar to how DT doesn't dislike the press—he actually relies on it—Colbert, who occupies the role of both comedian and political commentator, has developed an interdependent connection with his chief adversary, DT. Fallon is simply irritating and not at all funny. Triumph completely overshadows Conan. And while his humor isn’t what it once was, Stephen has evolved into a successful businessman – which is something of a parallel to Trump's media ventures, given they both followed a comparable approach.
