This show is easily among the best in its genre—those series exploring the histories of powerful nations, empires, and influential figures like Rome, Vikings, and Britannia. I'm a big fan; the narrative is compelling, and the acting is superb. It surpasses “Vikings” in my estimation, though "Rome" remains my top pick. Certain significant characters meet their end, which is realistically consistent with historical accounts—some departures are unavoidable. However, I felt that two or three others were unjustly eliminated; they were truly outstanding performers who deserved to continue. The series consistently improves as it progresses, so I strongly recommend giving it a try.
