Synopsis

In the operating theater, Algernon’s interference compels Thackery, a situation that displeases Gallinger. Abigail, convalescing, grows to regret her entanglement with Thackery and Sister Harriet, while Cleary engages in a few clandestine transactions. Elsewhere, Bertie faces a reprimand from his physician father, who disapproves of his chosen profession, and Lucy gains access to Thackery’s hidden affairs.
