O'Donnel, O'Brien, and Powers are given very little screen time, suggesting the film primarily drew on the opinions of individuals like Schlesinger and Sorenson, excluding other voices. It seems to feature those who worked within the administration but lacked trust or influence, later attempting to portray themselves as important figures when they were actually minor players. Essentially, this is a portrayal of the Kennedys filtered through the perspective of people in the Kennedy administration who felt excluded from key decisions and subsequently tried to exaggerate their involvement just because no one realized they weren't truly part of what was happening.
