The Irrational feels like many other procedurals coming out of the United States. It shares qualities with shows such as Criminal Minds and NCIS regarding its format and method. Essentially, it offers easy entertainment with a predictable resolution to each mystery. I’ve watched four episodes so far and have been finding it pleasant enough. There's some progressive messaging present, but it isn't overly obvious or extreme. It’s an undemanding US crime series that works well for those times when you simply want something easygoing to watch.
