Synopsis

It seems the assembly had sanctioned Hobbes’s alliance with Fawkes. Darien, consumed by the final stage of Quicksilver Madness, is now fixated on locating Arnaud. Hobbes remains close, striving to prevent Darien from harming innocent people. They finally find Arnaud, but Hobbes assists him in fleeing when it becomes clear that the deranged Darien intends to kill him. Darien then deserts Hobbes, who is approached by Arnaud.
