It was a genuine pleasure to watch the initial run of episodes. However, it seems Greg Garcia’s particular brand of humor is best experienced in shorter bursts; My Name is Earl and Raising Hope both thrived for just two seasons, and The Guest Book suffered a similar fate. That spark of originality and laughter appeared to fade after only one season. Season two introduces a shift in setting and, based on what I've viewed so far, retains only one character from the first—a woman who operates a bikini bar, and not someone you’re likely to find endearing. The people who previously occupied the cabin are gone, creating an entirely different atmosphere, although I noticed some recognizable faces appearing later on. If your enjoyment came from the first season, like mine did, it's best to avoid this subsequent one.
