Synopsis

Driven by ambition, Catherine sought to seize power, consulting with Marial for guidance. She plotted to seduce and recruit Count Orlo, a respected intellectual within the palace walls, but her efforts proved disastrous. Witnessing Peter's harsh treatment of the nobility and his stubborn refusal to compromise, however, shifted her perspective. He ultimately chose to align himself with Catherine’s rising rebellion.
