Synopsis

Stokely and Lumpkin gathered those they considered enemies, some of whom they held captive and others they subjected to violence, beating and killing them. Just as Clara was about to be beaten into a confession by Stokely, the Van Lews and President Davis arrived. Stokely was halted, and the hostages were released.
