Synopsis

While Mary Jane recuperates, the Van Lew family makes preparations to spirit Robert Ford, the fugitive, across the border to safety in the North. Their efforts are nearly foiled by Laurette as they attempt to smuggle him away. For Elizabeth, this undertaking marks the final time she participates in the Underground Railroad.
