Synopsis

Even after their trains are bombed by aircraft, Maya, Sodhi, and the soldiers of the Indian National Army refuse to relinquish hope. Old Sodhi, now in Rangoon, is drawn into a cascade of memories – the hardships endured by the Indian troops and the devastating monsoon rains that swept away so much. Under these circumstances, the Japanese forces were ordered to withdraw.
