Synopsis

The PeeWee League players—among them Arnold and Mr. Slate’s own son—selected Fred to officiate their crucial playoff game. His task proved increasingly difficult as he was compelled to make impartial calls, even while facing pressure from friends, his employer, and baseball scouts from the major leagues who had gathered to watch him in action.
