Synopsis

Having served his time, Nicholus Pike, Jay’s murderer, was released and harbored a bitter resentment toward the Flash, laying blame for Jay's death squarely at his feet. He devised a trap, utilizing a heat-seeking explosive intended to eliminate the Flash; however, the plan misfired. Rather than destroying him, the blast propelled the Flash forward in time, to an era where Pike held dominion and had enacted laws forbidding any reference to the Flash’s existence.
