Synopsis

A truck fire in Memphis draws Sergeant William Ashton and the homicide unit to a gruesome discovery: a double murder. As the smoke dissipates, Ashton finds himself chasing a network of potential suspects in the hunt for the perpetrator. Meanwhile, in Kansas City, Kansas, Detective Bill Michael investigates the death of a woman discovered in the street. With scant clues, he grapples with the daunting task of identifying a killer from a sea of possibilities.
