Synopsis

Miami homicide detective Freddy Ponce arrives at the scene of a gruesome beating, the victim a homeless man. He quickly identifies a possible suspect, but the investigation soon veers into unforeseen territory. Across the country, in Kansas, a grandmother is discovered murdered in her own kitchen, a victim of a brutal stabbing. Detective Ray Lenoir pursues a series of promising leads, yet it is the meticulous analysis of forensic evidence that ultimately exposes the killer.
