Synopsis

In Kansas City, an ambitious captain and two seasoned detectives confront the city's first murder of the year. To solve the case of a young woman's death, they must negotiate with notorious drug kingpins. Meanwhile, a female homicide sergeant and her predominantly male team receive a crucial lead that plunges their murder investigation into a shadowy world of narcotics, firearms, and hidden caches.
