I began watching this Netflix series assuming it was the 2023 British show sharing its name. It didn’t take long to see that wasn't the case; the other one focuses on a smaller story about a diplomat helping UK citizens in Barcelona, while this deals with global politics at the very top levels. Despite the initial confusion, I found myself completely engrossed and eager to see what happened next. The fast-paced conversations and constant tension brought to mind *The West Wing*, which is definitely a positive comparison. There’s quite a bit happening simultaneously in terms of plot, so it's probably not ideal viewing when you’re tired. The episodes fly by—each fifty-minute installment feels more like fifteen—so be prepared to watch several back-to-back. It seemed as though they held back too much for the very last scene, especially since Netflix hasn’t confirmed a second season yet. However, given that the service claims it's currently their most popular program, I expect there will be one, and I am looking forward to it.
