I want to be upfront: I haven't really followed this show closely, and it’s not something my wife watches regularly that I happen to notice while reading nearby. It feels strange seeing Anthony Michael Hall as a grown man—that’s just an adjustment at this point in my life. However, we never skipped any episodes when we stumbled upon them, and we'll still watch it if it comes on again. Because honestly, for an adaptation of a King story, I can't recall a single disappointing installment. And despite the fact that he’s older now, Anthony Michael Hall is quite talented. Even though I haven’t been watching intently, I’ve seen enough to believe it’s well-made overall. It doesn’t try to replicate the book exactly, but it's precisely what you would hope for in a series based on one novel. Still, it’s Hall’s performance that really grabs your attention; he embodies the character perfectly and projects an almost unsettling sense of worry, which can be difficult to witness, and he maintains this throughout. Playing that role for five years must have been demanding, but every time we've seen him, he seems completely right for the part.
