Synopsis

The impact left Elder Kettle with a jolt, the screech of metal a jarring counterpoint to the sudden stillness. He’d struck something – something small, and yielding. Carefully, he approached the wreckage, expecting a frightened animal. Instead, he found a creature of unsettling familiarity, a miniature man with eyes like polished obsidian. Mistaking the Devil for a stray, Elder Kettle gently scooped him up. "Well now," he murmured, a warmth entering his voice, "aren't you a sweet little thing? I
