Simu Liu’s performance is remarkably poor; he simply isn't suited for a leading role. He comes across as completely lacking in appeal, and I think Peacock should seriously evaluate the people responsible for casting this show. The acting quality is shockingly bad, and it’s easy to imagine that everyone involved felt uncomfortable with what they were creating. It seems clear that those in charge recognized they were producing substandard work. The narrative itself isn't particularly imaginative or clever either. I have to wonder about the qualifications of the writers employed on this project, and who is making decisions at Peacock. Their output has been consistently disappointing. Hopefully, eventually, people will be chosen for their skills rather than fulfilling arbitrary requirements, and we’ll start seeing better television again.
