This landmark season marked the first time *The Challenge* revisited a previous theme – bringing back the iconic battle from Season 6. Filmed against the stunning backdrop of Santa Fe, New Mexico, *Battle of the Sexes 2* threw male and female competitors head-to-head in a series of grueling challenges. A unique strategic element was introduced: before each challenge, teams selected three leaders who held significant power – victory meant they got to send someone packing, while defeat put one of their own on the chopping block. And for the first time ever, there were no life-shields to protect players from elimination, making every decision and every loss truly impactful. The season ignited when it premiered on October 4th, 2004, and kept viewers hooked until its conclusion on January 31st, 2005.
