Echoing the survivalist spirit of *Survivor*, contestants had to hustle for food and build their own shelters, embracing resourcefulness over luxury. And adding another layer of unpredictability, traditional team formations were scrapped entirely, forcing these seasoned competitors to forge new alliances and navigate a landscape where loyalty was anything but guaranteed. With only four former champions among the twenty castaways, *The Island* promised a season defined by grit, ingenuity, and the fight for survival – premiering September 10th and concluding October 29th, 2008.
