Having captured Doc Terror’s aquatic cyborg, Mako, Max was astonished when officers arrested *him* instead of his foe – a consequence of Intertech's central computer mistakenly identifying Max as a criminal. Released on bail thanks to Jake, Max returned to Centrum where Crystal informed the Centurions that a significant malfunction had struck Intertech’s primary crime-tracking system. Technicians found no evidence of a virus; instead, they detected a physical flaw within the hardware itself. To
