It’s obvious what this production is trying to say, but my experience watching it was really disheartening. There wasn't a spark between any of the performers, and I just couldn’t accept the central romantic pairing as believable. The performances were terrible, the humor fell flat, the writing felt careless, and they appear to be using pre-existing material. Is this meant to be funny? It feels more like they're lecturing the audience. When did people who write comedies begin demanding applause? It’s just a dull program to watch. I also saw recently that Peacock is consistently losing money; it makes you think, doesn't it?
