The initial concept was fantastic, and it looked gorgeous, featuring attractive performers who were likable and appealing. However, baffling choices undermined everything. These decisions felt completely pointless and illogical, appearing repeatedly throughout. There’s an insistence on characters just talking—filled with awkward pauses and hesitant speech—apparently to set up some subplot or reveal hidden identities, often involving nothing more than a costume change. The main character spends far too much time second-guessing himself, the conversations go on forever (cutting their length in half would make them feel normal), and there are pointless deceptions meant to manufacture conflict. It feels like a compilation of familiar plot devices presented as a superhero show with an unexpected reveal. Despite the decent performances and story, these overused elements destroy any positive aspects. What a shame.
