I found myself liking this until the very last part. **[SPOILERS AHEAD]** The conclusion became so obvious that it disrupted my engagement with the series. Anneliese attacks Judy, and naturally, they take her along to the trap house as a potential bargaining tool. Then she passes away in the same location as Mother, and I'm left wondering why Mother didn’t just heal her beforehand. By the time that scene arrives, it’s clear that Mother’s blood has restorative properties. They try to justify things by showing that the gunshot wound wasn't healing instantly, but that doesn’t negate any effect it might have had. Also, Sam could have simply inquired with Mother about whether she was able to intervene before Judy died. Instead, we were subjected to a prolonged sequence of Judy’s death, only for Mother to bring her back, which I think most viewers probably anticipated! It seemed like everyone just stood by and watched Judy die without anyone even asking Mother something as simple as "Hey, could you help her?". Seriously?! And then there's Blaine. The showrunners seem oblivious to the fact that their viewers have witnessed countless similar scenarios. Was I truly meant to believe Blaine was gone and be surprised when he wasn’t? Was that a Duffer Brothers trademark move? Shaking my head. It proved to be a rather disheartening finale for what had been a solid initial season.
